Edgecombe (9 Images)

The new house at Edgecombe was built in 1995. The architect was Peter McIntyre of Kew. The builder was Georg Karacsay of Carlisle River.

The stone was quarried from a site south of the road reserve in the coastal country of Glenample. Mr. C. Silk of Simpson designed and built the machine on which the raw blocks were trimmed, together with Mr. D. Lawson of Princetown. The owners of Glenample, Judy and Kurt Nesseler together with the above named “Charlie” Silk and David Lawson, quarried all of the stone for Edgecombe.

The house was built in honour of Mr. H. H. Nesseler of Aachen, Germany.
